Prep Tutorial
To prep Mariska’s skin, I used this trick I picked up from Jordan Liberty, check it out:
Base Tutorial
For a full tutorial on Foundation read Foundation for Makeup Artists, or Foundation for yourself, for more insides on Blush read Where to apply Blush
I used very little foundation, just around the eyes and nose.
If I would use too much foundation and concealer, you will see the product sitting on the face because I am using a Marco Lens.
Are you interested in the equipment I used, I have listed everything below.
Let’s talk about liquid Blush, it is just so good, because it goes into the skin, whereas powder lies on top of the skin.
To intensify the color and set it, I still use a powder blush, I just love Bush, and I really want to make sure it’s there, especially with the big flash used for Beauty Photography.
I used Ellis Faas Cosmetics, Blush S302, and for powdered Blush this one from Delilah Cosmetics:
For Highlighter I used 3 different products, Kryolan, 5200 Illusion Cream Gloss Highlighter, Cashmere is a cream Highlighter, I apply this first, like with cream Blush it goes into the skin, I set and intensify this with Mac Cosmetics, Hyper Real Glow Palette.
Delilah Cosmetics, Pure Light Illuminating Powder, Lustre is a pink Highlighter, it’s a Highlighter Blush, I Love it.
Mine seems more white than this picture, but this is supposed to be the same color.
Eyeshadow Tutorial
For full tutorials on Eyeshadow, Eyeliner and Brows read the in-depth post I wrote about that.
I actually start with the eyes if I do photography because I don’t want any eyeshadow falling on the skin when there is already makeup on it. The Macro Lens is not very forgiving.
The same goes for the under eye, I start on the upper eyelids with Jordan Liberty’s Darkroom Poolside a matt true peach, all over the upper lid, quite high up to the brows, because I still want to see it when I have applied the darker colors.
Followed by Mac’s Satellite Dreams, a bit lower and Poolside. Then I start with the outer corner using Beauty Marked, and just a little bit in the crease, not too much. I darken it with Mac’s Carbon but so you can still see Beauty Marked.
At this point, I applied Delilah Cosmetics, Gel liner, Plum which is a purple liner. You blend, you blend really well guys&gals, this is so important. as highlighter color, only on the middle of the lid, I used Super Nova.
Now starting on the lower lash line using Genesis going inside with Mac’s Tilt. This is when Delilah Cosmetics, Gel liner, in the blue color called Ink.
I now line the whole eye with black Eye Kohl, Smolder, both waterlines, really get into the entire upper and lower lash lines. Then I top it off with a kohl upper eyeliner. I did use fake lashes.
For the brows I used Anastasia Beverly Hills, Brow Freeze, WOW the product is amazing, the best thing about this product is that it doesn’t need to dry first like with soap.
It’s crazy good, if you like feathered brows you NEED this product.
I didn’t use any colored brow product, with Macro Beauty Photography it doesn’t work so well, you see the product sitting on the skin under the hairs, and it’s a B**** photoshopping.
There you have it my Blue, Purple, Peach Eyelook, I loved doing it, I’ll probably do another version sometime again, just such a pretty combination.
Lip Tutorial
I leave the lips pretty simple, I make a really good lip outline using Mac’s Boldy Bare, which is my all-time favorite lip liner.
Going inside with the pencil using it as a lipstick combined with eight-hour creme, my must-have lip softener.
Photography equipment
For those interested in the Beauty Photography equipment, I used my Canon Mark 6DIII, with a Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Fixed Lens, and only one of my strobe lights Jimbei Spark 400 with a Godox Portable 120cm/47.2″ Umbrella Octagon Softbox Reflector and of course reflectors in white and silver, I used both sides.
This was my Makeup Tutorial on how to do my Blue, Purple, Peach Makeup Look. Cheers Mamacitas.
