Hi Amiga, lately, I have been trying homemade skincare alternatives, like you could have read in my previous posts: 5 Ancient Natural Skincare Recipes and Sugar Wax Tricks. Today we talk about Fresh Fruit Facials!
I am really starting to dig this, no expensive skincare products that you always have to repurchase just like rent/mortgage, gasoline, and electricity, we already have enough returning costs as it is, right?
You can’t buy Fresh Fruit Facials in stores, you can’t conserve them, so no big skincare brand can give you what Fresh Fruit Facials can.
The best thing is, they are cheap and easy! What’s not to like.

Fresh Fruit Facials Recipes
One of my favorites is the peach facial, which works very well as a tightening mask.
Simply take a ripened peach, and remove the skin and the pit from the center.
Place the peach and the whites from a single egg (please use free-range egg) in a blender, and whip until smooth.
Pat the mixture onto your face, and allow it to sit there for 30 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
I have found that the apple mask is very good for normal skin, it will help remove the dead cell layer as well as nourish the skin. Peel, core, and quarter an apple.
Chop the apple in your blender, and add two tablespoons of honey. Blend until smooth. Then remove the mixture from the blender, and refrigerate for approximately 10 minutes.
Apply the mixture to your face using a patting motion, and be sure to pat until the honey becomes tacky. Leave it on for about 30 minutes, and rinse with warm water.
I have also had great success with a Strawberry mask.
The trick here is to use extremely ripe Strawberries. Add approximately ½ cup of strawberries and a ¼ cup of cornstarch to the blender, and mix until smooth.
Apply the mixture to your face, and be careful to avoid the area around your eyes. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and rinse it off with cool water.
Strawberries are a rich reserve of nutrients and antioxidants that can help nourish, repair, and brighten your facial skin.
The next facial mask is excellent for blemished skin, the antioxidants present in tomato helps to fight cellular damage. It shrinks your pores, removes blackheads, and gives your skin a natural glow.
Chop a ripened tomato into small pieces, and place it in your blender. Add one tablespoon of lemon juice and some instant oatmeal or rolled oats.
Mix until it is all combined. Do not mix for too long, as it will not stick to your face. If it gets too thin, simply add more oatmeal.
Apply the mixture, and leave it on for 10 minutes. Scrub it off using a warm, wet cloth.
Avocado is also amazing for your skin due to the healthy fats, vitamins, and minerals that are packed inside this nutritious fruit and it is super easy to make/apply.
Just mashed avocado already goes a long way, but for a deep moisture face mask take 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (solid, so cold), half a ripe avocado, pitted and peeled, 1 tablespoon for honey, and 1 tablespoon of water.
Mix this to a paste and apply to your skin. Leave at least 15 min and rinse off.
As with all skincare products you have to use it on a regular basis to really get the best results. In my experience, the most natural treatments provide really good results.
These all-natural fruit facials have worked well for me. I hope you enjoy them.
